Php ficm programmer w/strategies

Team,
I just received my ficm programmer with strategy tool back
Upon loading it asks to select 2003, 2004 and 2005. Which is my year

I select 2003 for the preferred roll back? Is this the best one or am I doing this right?

Took it for a test romp. The tranny seems to be going through a learning curve and is all over the place. It seemed to be getting better.

Bottom end response was quicker. I loaded the 2003 atlas 80. :c: Seemed to smoke a lot :humm: more

I would load the matching year personally without knowing... I highly doubt it's as simple as that to do a "rollback"...

Your trans is going to continue to be all over the place until you get it custom tuned with an SCT. Right now you have no way of controlling the trans, and you're relying on the factory TCM to try and "learn" this new found power. It will get close, but it will never be as good as a custom tune.

FICM tune + bigger injectors + no trans tuning = one unhappy trans.

Load the PHP tuning per your year vehicle. It is not intended as a "roll back" device.

Thanks for the reply guys.
on php's site it say's you can order the roll back with the ficm programer. This is also on the order form and I payed extra for it. but it came with minimal instructions.. I have left an email to php..

In the meantime today I have Went shopping and picked up a few more items.
-sct sf3 3015 (will order custome tunes once the above is sorted)
-blue sping
-banjo bolts.

I think I got worked over agin at the local performance shop on the nessisary cables to hook up an egt sensor and fuel pressure to the cs

-98602 starter kit
-98603 egt sensor
-98605 sensor input wire?
-98607 to work with one of the above..

When I get home from work I will check it all out but it seemes to many wires from what I read on the edge site.

then the search for a fitting to connect the fuel pressure sending unit took forever!
no one Locally carries the billet cap so
I ended up witht he m12-1/8 npt

Also the npt tap for the egt sensor was another challenge to find but succeeded!

Any tips for the above installs would be most helpfull.. Thanks in advance

When using the Gryphon FICM programmer, load in the FICM tune based on your PCM strategy.

PCM strategies that start with VXA is for the '03 FICM tunes. PCM strategies that start with VXB is for the '04 FICM tunes. PCM strategies that start with VXC is for the '05+ FICM tunes.

If you load in a non matching FICM tune year to a different PCM strategy year, you will get a U0306 code.
