05 6.0l rebuild
Hello all sorry its been a while since any post. Got the engine pulled out and tore down finally its been at the machine shop for almost a month now. But here is the UPDATE.
1. Has anyone ever seen # 8 cylinder top compression ring missing from factory!!! LOL not that they would admit.
That was the case the cul had so much carbon built up around the top it was stupid. the second ring finally siezed up and the oil ring went through the cyl and complete engine what a mess.
Was able to get the block bored and saved it though...
This was all after Ford charging me a total of 6500.00 in repairs and fixing or diagnosing the actual problem (man you gotta Love em)
Then when the noticed part of oil ring in the pan the only wanted 10,000.00 for a short block or 13,000.00 for a long block hum not to bad 13k + 6500 = 19500.00 plus tax this is getting to be an expensive truck. LOL
Good thing I towed it home doing all the work myself besides machine work I did take the block and piston back to ford and showed them the problem and wondered why a compression check was never done since I have always had a CYL 8 contribution error.LOL
Hum no answer from them except they were glad I found the problem but no refunds. If anyone would like some pics of the cyl and piston let me know

Holy cow! I'd be swinging that piston/rod assembly like a gladiator at every one who worked on that truck.
A compression test would have revealed that problem in short order. With all of the computer stuff on modern cars, old fashion mechanical checks often get over looked.
Heck yeah we want to see pictures! Everyone likes pictures
