Nice setup you got there!

Some factory 20" harley wheels would set that thing off. Or on the cheap side, lose the badges, black the tail lights, tint the windows and spray some of that vinyl spray in a can on the wheels to black them out.

I'm a WVO guy myself! Welcome to DB!

Thanks guys! All those ideas are on the list.

After blowing what looked like a large white cloud out of the exhaust. Luckily I wasn't on the freeway and was able to shut it down quickly and didn't blow the head gaskets. I got rid of the ford gold coolant, got gauges, etc. The truck is running good now and is reliable.

I like those stacks. The cops would be pulling me over every day if I ran those in California.

Thats cool you are running WVO. What do you think about all the bs out there about the 6.0 not running well on WVO or biodiesel. My truck runs better on the stuff.

Where in Cali you located at? I see trucks with stacks all the time up here in Nor Cal.( San Fransisco/ Sacramento and north.. Dont seem to have any problems with stacks around here.

Here's the link to Dieselsite for the coolant filter. Its only $145. I modified the mounting bracket so it would fit with the oil bypass.

I live on the Peninsula and have never seen a stack here. Because of the smog test we have to do here for emissions I wouldn't want to give the cops a reason to pull me over. I had a stinger on an old baja bug that got me pulled over when I was a teenager. I was assuming a stack would be a reason for a cop to pull me over and find other stuff they could give me a ticket for.

I think a lot of it is there is just so many wrong ways to run alternative fuels out there, that a lot of them get a bad name regardless. I did a TON of research before biting the bullet on what I do now. I'm still tweaking all the time though.

Check your local laws. You could probably run a stack but keep your muffler/cat if you wanted to. Here in NY the turbo counts as a muffler and the exhaust has to exit behind the cab, but other than that it doesn't really specify much. Of course removal of a cat is technically illegal anywhere...
