Reving isuues
ok heres the problem. I have a 2004 F-250 6.0 with a lift, AFE intake, and MBRP dual stack turbo back exhaust system everything else on the truck is stock no tuner. I have had this problem with the truck for about a year and a half now found out about it right after trucks transmission took a shit (i do not know if the truck had the issue before because i bought it 2 weeks earlier). I had the transmission replaced by Tanner Transmission in Ogden UT. Right after i had the transmission replaced i noticed the truck was reving while driving around the the speeds of 45-50 and 65-70. I took the truck back to tanner and had them check it out they found codes P0730 (incorrect gear ratio), P2700 (Transmission friction element A apply time range or performance) and P2701 (Transmission friction element B apply time range or performance). so they did some more trouble shooting and couldn't find anything else wrong so they decided to change out the transmission, and the wire harness. they reprogramed the computer and the problem went away until the trans had a hard shift then it started reving again. so i took it back to tanner and they couldn't find anything wrong with the trans so they decided to swap it out with a brand new transmission that has not been installed on a truck before, they put a brand new transmission computer in and reprogramed the computer again. then they took it to the Ford dealership in layton utah they did some more trouble shooting and kept driving it around and they said every time they started the truck up after letting it cool down overnight the transmission computer would lose its programing. so they told me the reason this could be happening is there could be some clogged injectors or a fried FICM. so tanner got the truck back and told me to get these fixed so i took the truck to Wild Diesel in West Haven Utah and they checked out my injectors and FICM they told me my injectors are good and my FICM is bad so i had to wait about a month to build up some money to get it swapped so today i took the truck to Quality Ford in Tooele Utah and had them swap the FICM (i had the old style 2 computer) they swapped it out and updated it to the 1 computer and reprogramed everything this time the truck ran great until it had another hard shift then the reving issue came back. so what i am asking is what the hell is my problem, has anyone had the same issue and what can i do to fix it?
