Stick-shift no clutch to start

If some of you stick shift guys are tired of pushing the clutch to start your truck to get it warming up then put and end to the aggravation today. Under the dash there is a plug that clips in on the top of the clutch linkage (you will need a screwdriver to pop it off). Once you pull it off you will see that there are 4 wires: Red/Yellow tracer, Brown/Lt Blue tracer, Green/Yellow tracer, Black/White tracer. You will be dealing with the Green/Yellow and Black/White wires, the other 2 are so you can disengage cruise control with the clutch. On the connector side of the plug you will see small plastic clips inside, push the clip away from the connector and pull the wire out. I just taped the 2 together since I don't know if the remote start that I'm going to be ordering soon will bypass this or not in the computer, if not then I will go back in and clip the ends off to put a butt-connector on. Now just plug the coupler back in and give it a go.

No worries, doing this does not effect the ability to high idle at all, if you keep your switch up like I do then just turn the key and walk away. Always do a neutral shake first just to be safe.

Poor quality but it should give you guys a good enough idea to be able to do it

A friend of mine had a dodge with a bypassed saftey neutral switch. One cold morning his 8yr old son was going to "help" his dad by warming the truck up. Long story short, he drove it through the back of the garage. No one was hurt, but If you have kids around you might want to think twice.
