trans cooler fitting tool for bottom of radi?
 

any body have the tool no# or home made disconect tool for fittings at bottom of radiator i have lots of em but they dont fitt because of the buble crimp,formed a flat piece of copper sheet metal about 0.20 thick but i cant seem to get the fitting to come loose any sug!!!:humm:

I'm not sure, but I believe that once the trans tube is off the fitting is part of the radiator.

lisle makes them in a set i dont know actual part number, snap on has one individually if you can get on a tool truck. Should be able to find them at a parts house. Theyre plastic and are bubbled out to clear the lip on the line. Alot of time if they are gunked up real bad and i cant get them freed up the tool is no help and I just unscrew the fitting from the rad.

I wouldn't suggest you unscrew the fittings from the radiator, even though that's exactly what I did. There are rubber gaskets that will drop inside the radiator and you will have a heck of a time retrieving them. Getting the fittings re-connected to the radiator is also a Houdini act. I pulled off this miracle, but after I did, I bought the correct fitting tool, which is an AST Part Number 8023.

Ive never had a prob. getting them back in, the fittings are servicable, I have two cabs in the air behind me right now and had to remove the fittings from rad. Once they are out you can usually work with them get the hoses to release from the fitting then you can reinstall fitting into rad. and reconnect lines.
