That's going to be a tough one to prove. Since you have a K&N intake you won't see a dime.

At least not form any intake/turbo/intercooler related failures.

Yeah I would be worried about if I bought my truck brand new and kept it stock, but neither of those are true.

well not exactly as you are saying here. It will be easy to prove,

if the injectors went bad multiple times then a K&N intake will have nothing to do with that,
if he has had EGR failures, the K&N filter had nothing to do with that,
if he had an oil leak the K&N intake had nothing to do with that.
BUT if he had a turbo failure, they would have to prove that the K&N intake WAS responsible for the failure BUT most of the time it is cause by sticking vanes in the exhaust housing that will cause the turbo failure that the K&N intake has nothing to do with.....

so that being said, it is worth looking into for those who have had the above problems.

One of the pages in my Edge instructions was dedicated to whether or not to remove it before going in for warranty work. The bottom line is that they will most likely have a bigger bank roll to prove it was your fault putting on that aftermarket equipment than you do to prove it was their faulty parts. So, that being said, with a K&N on your rig, be prepared to litigate to prove that wasn't why your turbo failed.

Now, if you put on a Dynomax exhaust and you have an injector fail, the two are not related and they would be obligated to repair your injector under warranty.

Personally, I have done enough to my rig that taking part in a class action lawsuit would be an exercise in ambulance chasing. Not my style. :nope:

Your Ford owners manual clearly states they can void your warranty if you run ANY non Ford parts. Your typical magnusson moss warranty jargon doesn't apply to these trucks. If you think you have the time/money to fight Ford on it, go for it, or buy another truck. At this point I doubt anyone in this thread has a foot to stand on regarding that lawsuit. I knew what I was buying when I got it, I certainly don't blame Ford for that.

I don't think anyone in this thread cares about the lawsuit, it's just another cool subject to beat into the ground. :gunner:
