Just wanted to update on my truck. Got a new ficm from mike and put it on and it took care of my problem. Starts up great everytime. Just to let anybody know that was reading this that I had tested my ficm before and it read 48 volts through all tests. So just because it reads fine dosent mean its not the problem. Mike you the man and I will be letting everybody I know about you rebuilding ficms. Very professional! I hope now I can start posting about performance and exterior upgrades instead of problems!

I can't wait to get your FICM and see what the heck is wrong with it... if I can even fix this one. I have another one just like it here at the house too, I'd really like to figure out how to fix these one's. :c:

Dont cringe to much but guess what.... Its doin it again!!:argh: Its weird this time tho. Before when I was having it do this it would sound like a big ole bag of poo and it acted like it didnt want to move, just had no power. Now when its doing it its only in the morning after I have had it plugged in and as soon as its done having its seizure it runs fine and I go on my merry way. Im do to do an oil change soon and im gonna go ahead and change the fuel filters as well since I dont know if they have ever been changed. I do remember tho when replacing the ficm one of the 3 connectors was a big pain in the ass. I might have to get in there and check to see if it came loose or somethin. Just givin you the heads up that I might have destroyed another ficm. Let you know whats up. Will check the voltage as well.

Could just be injectors on it's way out too bud. An oil change and a bottle of Rev-X might help tremendously.

Mine has recently started acting similar to what you're saying, and all the FICM's I'm swapping on and off aren't fixing it. I think I'm starting to develop a slight high pressure oil leak too, since at WOT, my desired ICP is ~3950psi and my actual is only 3600psi.

Let us know what you find with the FICM for sure.

I really dont wanna replace injectors :dang:. I wanted to ask you about an oil leak to and didnt want to start a new thread. I do have an oil leak at the very front of the block. I can see where the oil drips off of, it looks like a plug, but not sure where it is actually coming from. It drips down onto my track bar. Makes it look all nasty and gets all over ya when your crawlin around under it. Not sure if that could be contributing to some of my problems. Dont see any other leaks except right there. I will still be checkin ficm, and doin the maintenance here soon tho.

Doubtful. A high pressure oil leak would be completely internal, you'd never see it.

Check the FICM and let us know what it's reading! I seriously doubt that's the issue. What oil are you running now? How many miles on it?

Im runnin motocraft 15w40 with amsoil filter. Ive got 4400 miles on it now. I will check the ficm tomorrow after work and report back.
