FICM coded!!
I have an Edge CTS monitor and it shows P0611 and P1000. I realize P0611 is FICM and i think the P1000 is throwing because im clearing the P0611..
Truck throws code when truck is cold. I watch the monitor while running and it goes anywhere from 35v to 44v but, after 10minutes of run time i watch the FICM stay steady around 47-48.5v Called dealer this morning and he told me there is nothing he can do because the truck wasnt throwing the check engine light on and that was the only way for them to figure it out?!! Question: why hasnt the truck thrown on a light if the voltage is that low? I would prefer to get this handled before it leaves me stranded miles from the house |
Find another FICM...The P1000 is pretty standard "Drivability Test Incomplete" IIRC.

still under warranty so this is why i want ford to pick this up

Update!!!!
Dropped truck off yesterday at dealer thinking absolutely nothing would be done about it.. Just got off tele with service guy and he said that they had to replace the FICM:jump: To all you non believers on the edge CTS insight.. That thing saved my a$$.. I caught the problem before i even knew there was a problem because i could read my ficm voltage.. Insight is a little bit of money but not only did it save me from being stranded somewhere but it also saved me 1000.00 because my warranty will be gone end of Sept.:scare2: |
mine has been replaced by ford twice (no warrenty-$985x2):scare2:, and now its shot again.:argh: im having it sent off to be upgraded this time for $400 by circuit board medics
