semi wheels on 06 f-350
just looking for some info on semi wheels on a f-350 dully the tire size are 11-22.5. how hard are they on front end parts and how is the ride?
|
Well naturally the wheel/tire combo is heavier, so it will wear pieces out faster like tie rod ends, ball joints, and the sorts. Can't be much heavier than guys running 37"+ tires though... I've heard good and bad things about the ride. You will want some plush suspension to go with them... Maybe PM Nydiver on here, he has a 7.3 dually he runs the semi wheels on I believe.

thanks for the info

Has anyone done a X1 on the rear of a dually instead of duals?? that would be cool

Helll yeah/// that looks awsome:rocking:

I put on close to 30k miles a month hauling RVs up to Canada and I'm wanting to upgrade my tires I was thinking of running the 19.5 conversion with the direct bolt on rims. But that x1 combo looks way to badass! I'm going for milage on my work truck but I also have a 2012 dually on order that will be my personal truck to I'm thinking its going to get those depending what's all involved.

shrek that king ranch truck was a customer of the guys at FCDP (First Coast Diesel Performance). Adam Brannan is the guy you want to talk to over there, one of the nicest people in the industry. Google their info and call them up, if he doesn't know, I'm sure he'd put you in contact with the guy who owns the truck.

Super singles look hideous to me. It's called a dually for a reason.....just saying :humm::w2:
|
To each their own man. Not my style either, but it's not my money.

I will say, I've seen super singles at all four corners of a SRW truck, and I like it better on the dually. I really don't like it on the SRW trucks. I think that dually would look better if it sat lower and could put some of that rubber up into the fender better too.

Well thanks for the info. I've never been a fan of semi wheels either. However those x1s look sweet although I bet there ice traction is virtually non-existant. I want to do something cool with the '12 but I hate lifted trucks if you can't work it its no longer a truck.

2012 F350? Dually? If you don't like the lifted look, go lower. Have you seen the nice 2011 white dually that was on last months diesel power mag cover? He's on most of the powerstroke forums, SWEET truck. It's riding on 26" american force wheels. His name is Josh and he goes by InMotionJosh on the forums. He posts on powerstrokearmy.com a lot.

Ya that truck was done in good taste for sure. But no I'm a diehard dodge guy and I'm from Alberta so I like the look of a lift just hate how they ride and how you can't hook on to trailer. I'm wondering if a small (4") high quality lift like a Carli would allow the use of bigger tires and still not ruin what I want my truck for. Lol I'm torn this is the first truck I've got that ill be able to do up and I want to do it right!

He already sold it and bought a SRW truck he's building up too. Guy basically just buys them, builds them, sells them, starts over. Must be nice eh? He seems like a pretty laid back cool guy on the boards.

Here's his new one. I'm pretty sure this is the second aftermarket grill, and possibly even the second set of wheels. He likes trying things to see how they'll look....
I really like the Rigid LED light bar in the middle, I want one of them so bad. I can't swing the $$$ for one though, just out of this world expensive. Attachment 39156 |

I have trouble keeping up with just the 1 truck, I couldn't imagine 30.

Telling me about it my friend. Its ridiculous no doubt, but he enjoys it so....:w2:
