P2262 code
Engine light turned on on my truck on my way to work and when I got there I checked for codes and p2262 popped up. The truck runs fine it doesnt have sypmtomns like the ones I heard about. Anybody have any thoughts on what it could be?

Is the truck low on power?
It is a low boost code, so many people will automatically tell you to clean the turbo, which it may still need but there are two other things I would try first. Find the rubber hose that connects to the intake manifold, it's on the passenger side of the intake manifold. Pull it off, make sure it's clean and free of crud. Next would be to disconnect the exhaust system in FRONT of the cat (bypass the cat) and test drive. I've heard of them plugging the cats (not sure how on these honestly) and it would cause this too. Next I would pull the EPB tube and sensor, clean both really well. Then it would be a turbo cleaning DTS Articles - Turbocharger Reconditioning Those should get you back going again. :c: |
No the truck runs like it normally would.

As Mdub said - Check out the MAP sensor hose (cracked, leaking or plugged). Also check out the EBP sensor tube (primarily for pluggage).
Also, it si worth checking for intake or CAC (charge air cooler) leaks, or exhaust restrictions. |
Is it ok to drive it? it's my only vehicle at the moment until I get a chance to check it out

As long as it seems to run ok, I'd probably drive it if it were mine, but that's your call. Fix it sooner than later though, in case it's NOT one of the things mentioned.

Alright thanks I'll get it checked out soon
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- I should have also said that the turbo is spoiling up an it's building boost som I'm guessing I either have a leak or something is clogged |
Found the problem with the truck map hose just came off. Thanks for the help :c:
