a month ago my i had tu replaec my turbo a vgt vane come out and went through the turbine, so mostly just fear and lack of short drill bits. i amagine its 200 or 300 degrees off. did you drill yours with any thing special. i have a drill with a small head but all my bits are too long.

hey bismic1 said i could be getting gasses in my fuel bowl. how could i test for that?

How can the bit be too long? As long as you know that the temp is off a few hundred degrees, but really how do you know how far off it is? I didn't use anything special at all, just went to town on it.

I'm trying to picture in my head how a VGT vane could come out and go through the turbine and it's not making any sense to me. Did you replace the turbo or did someone else?

Guess it really doesn't matter now. In the future, I wouldn't be too worried about drilling into the manifolds though!:c:

i replaced the turbo, i am proboly going to plug the hole the egt probe is in now and just drill the manifold. when i switch over to the electric fuel sending unit where do i install it

Fuel bowl. There are dummy plugs in there, just remove those, get the adapter you need and tap in right there. Do a search, I know there is a thread with all of this info, including where to get the adpaters and such.

i got the adapter thats where im taped in now. would you say to pick them up at innovative diesel or auto meter?
