6.0 lookin to do some work

ok i bought a 2005 6.0 f250 2 weeks ago now and i know about most of the issues i was wondering if anyone has heard of this kit Complete 6.0 Ford Powerstroke Solution with Sinister EGR Delete Kit, Oil Cooler and ARP Headstuds is this kit good or does anyone think this kit is worth it ive never heard of sinister

They sell a ton of those. Individually you can get all the parts cheaper than that total cost, but it's just easy to buy it that way. Up to you. It's a decent kit. Sinister barely makes any of their own stuff, or if they do, it's just a copy of someone elses idea. They used to be ITP diesel, famous for their regulated returns. The company has merged and changed names and whatever a few times, they're pretty well known though.

I wouldn't use those headgaskets though, I'd stick with OEM headgaskest personally.

I was thinkin about doin fire rings what do you recommend

What do you want to do with the truck? Is this a tow rig or are you making a drag truck? What are your HP goals, and what are the goals of use for it?

Even still, I find it hard to recommend them. I don't see the need. There are 1000hp 6.0's out there not using them if that tells you anything.

I myself installed hundreds of sinister egr delete kits, along with the arp studs. Im not seeing trucks back ever again for another coolant system concern. Heres what i suggest, if your going that in depth you should also install a coolant filter and a NEW oil cooler. Youd be surprised the ammount of crap thats floating around in the coolant. I sure as hell was...

Fire ringed heads are extra insurance. Its nothing new, Down the road from my dealership is a drag strip/dirt oval track where i race. Sometimes i get to the track early leaving the dealership to watch the drag races, just about every top fuel dragster and some pretty nasty pro stock class cars have fire ringed heads. About a month ago i did a pretty nasty 6.0 build for a customer and it was all cash pay work. Havent seen that truck back thought i would between larger turbo, nitrous, water/meth, and propane.
