Synthetic in the Diff's for more MPG????
Was wondering if any of you guys had luck in the MPG arena after changing your front and rear diff oil to an aftermarket Syn Diff oil (ie: amsoil or the like). any thoughts or experiances would be appreciated. I have just over 55k on my rig now and was looking to change the oil soon anyway to swap to Syn and maybe add covers with cooling fins while i was at it. Just trying to make the Drops of Diesel go further....

I'm doing mine real soon too. Putting Amsoil 75-140w in the rear (since I tow a camper during the summer) with an 08+ rear diff cover (it's a finned aluminum job from the factory and less than $100). For the front, it's getting Amsoil 75-90w.
I'm not expecting an ounce of mileage though... You think if I wax my truck I'll get better mileage? :tttt: :c: |
