Isspro EV2 gauges!!

Been pricing all over for these things and landed at BBD and spoke to Brice... Absolutely hands down blows away anyone else I've checked into when it comes to pricing on the EV2 series..
Just thought you might want to know if you're looking at loading up on gauges!!:choochoo:

CSIPSD 05-06-2011 01:58 PM

If your getting a bunch, might look at the Performax series as well...

Good stuff, let us know if you have any install questions!

Mdub707 05-06-2011 02:20 PM

Nice! I've been buying everything from Jimmy and Chad at Upstate Diesel, they're sponsors here too. They good to me, and local so that helps too I'm sure.

You'll be happy with the EV2's, great gauges. I've got a few in my truck now, and more coming haha.

Csipsd!!

Performax are great if i was pulling a sled or racing the thing.. I just can't justify the extra exspense.. Would be cool to track everything but, that's for the big boys!!

I be sure to ask questions if i cant get her figured out.. Thanks!!:c:

Ruger5901 05-09-2011 06:29 PM

Im not pulling a sled or raceing and as spelt said i cant justify spending that much cash on gauges. I know if you want quality then you fork up the extra cash but my i feel some of these gauges are overkill for me. I need a few accurate needle gauges that arnt going to cost me an arm and a leg. Whats the best bang for the buck???

CSIPSD 05-09-2011 07:19 PM

Isspro EV2... One of if not the best gauge on the market...

Price them out, there not that much more expensive then the glow shite and they are more accurate.

95powersmoker 05-09-2011 07:38 PM

Not to undermine Joe here, But when I was looking to buy gauges, I found the Autometers are fair priced and good quality. Would I rather have Isspros? Surely, but again, it was a cost factor for me, I went with Autometer's.

Diesel Dawgs Performance 05-09-2011 07:45 PM

Both Autometer and Isspro are top quality gauges. Can't go wrong with either one. Just choose the style you like.

Luke

Mdub707 05-09-2011 08:21 PM

When pricing them out EV2's were around the same price as Autometer... guess it depends where you get them.

Gauges are one of those things you definitely get what you pay for. Don't think that just because you're not drag racing or sled pulling that you don't need a good gauge. It's just as important on a daily driver IMO.

I have a mix of Dipricol Optix and EV2's. I think I like the EV2's more now. Well worth the cost.

I bout a set of glow shift guages just to try them out to see if they were worth anything and if they werer not at least i had the pod i wanted and so far they have worked great i know a few other people the run them and they all like them. I got fuel pressure, EGT, EOT, and ECT. In a quad pod the only thing i do not like is that they are kinda bright at night but o well. For the money they were worth it to me. I posted a link at the bottom.

Worst thing about them is you can't dim them with the factory switch. However I've read there is something you can do to switch them to a "night setting" where they dim to about half the brightness. Google it or something, or search for it, I know I've read it somewhere. Too lazy to look myself, cause frankly I paid the money for the dimming gauges...:tttt:

Yes you can dim them I have mine dimmed all the time and.they are still pretty bright I thought about.buying a led dimmer to see if it would film them more.

Take the bulbs out of them and draw over them with a permanent black marker, should help dim them down. Are they LED or standard bulbs in there? My guess is standard bulbs...

Ruger5901 05-11-2011 06:51 PM

Got sent a pretty fair price of $485 shipped for full 4 pod and gauge set up. fuel pressure, oil temp, coolant temp and pyro and a single boost gauge. They are EV2's......

CSIPSD 05-11-2011 07:11 PM

If they're LED's in there, you can take a small fine file and actually file the end of the bulb up a bit, make it flat and rough it up, it will also kill some of the light down. Black marker would be easy as pie too.

The LED's on the EV-2's are built into the gauge. You have 0 access to them and no real reason to do that anyway. Hook them to your dimmer wire and dim them the same as your dash gauges. The EV-2 have a slick feature called theater lighting, when you turn them on they come up slow, and when you turn them off they go off slow. I'll try and get a video of it tonight if I remember.

If they are brighter then your factory gauges you can add a resistor or a separate pot, to adjust to where they match your factory lighting.

I thought he was still talking about his way too bright Glowshift gauges... my bad.

I run the EV2's, always wondered why they came up slow and dimmed off slow... didn't know that was a feature... pretty cool. Theatre lighting.... Huh.... learn something new everyday.

spelt22000 05-18-2011 03:41 PM

Dont think he's talking.. Great price but, we have no idea where he got such a price:humm:

Mdub707 05-18-2011 04:20 PM

If it's a vendor just post it, what's the big deal? Or was it some special deal for you only? Maybe PM the vendor and tell them to respond here.

spelt22000 05-18-2011 04:49 PM

no doubt!!! I would think they would love the business:tttt:

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Personally, I think he is looking at the EV gauges not the EV2:w2:

CSIPSD 05-18-2011 05:38 PM

Price is pretty close for both the EV and EV2 gauges... Thats a doable price if the vendor doesnt make much on it.

spelt22000 05-19-2011 06:16 AM

30 to 40 dollar seperation per gauge unless im missing out on the sweetheart deal:humm: I've checked at least 20 sites and shops and BBD is by far at the bottom of the price scale.
Heck, I thought this was a forum to "share" info. and ideas:c: I guess this topic has been drove in the ground at this point so I'll leave it alone and just buy from BBD

Ruger5901 05-19-2011 04:01 PM

Well he forgot one of the gauges thats why it was so cheap. Ended up being 100 bucks more!!!!!!!!! Sorry i havent posted back on this the Marine Corps doesnt like me doing things i enjoy.
