Let the dealer do a flush and fill service. After 50-60k drain the pan, replace the small in-line filter, and refill the fluids. Swap back and forth between the two types of service at the 50-60k interval.

I did both filters at 30000.The main filter and pan looked fine but the in line was totally black:s: I'm going to change my inline again at 40000 to see what it looks like.. I myself don't agree with the flush and fill method but i like to see whats going on down there whenever i get the chance:rocking:

What is the best Trans fluid to use?:humm:

u need mercon SP or lv

the pan doesn't have a filter it is a screen only and can be cleaned , the pan gasket is reusable

the dealer hot flush is the best because it gets all the fluid ( these transmissions limit flow through the cooler lines until hot )
second best is drop the or drain the pan a few times over a few days and change the remote filter

when i dropped my pan it sure looked like a filter that i pulled out of the tranny. If that was just a screen then it was a fancy looking filter screen
