QUIT RUNNING WONT START
I HAVE O4 6.0 4TH GEAR FLAT ON THE FLOOR QUIT RUNNING WON'T START OIL LEAKING AROUND DAMPER PULLY FRONT SEAL AREA NO OIL PRESSURE ON GAUGE
Tough to say without more info, but if oil is leaking, it definitely wont run, since the injectors are fired off of the oil... 2009 powerstroke huh? New one to me!:tttt:
09 6.0L? did you switch engines or do you really have a 6.4?
His post says 04 6.0, so I'm guessing that's what it is, I was just breaking his balls.
break them later help me fix it first please
Can't really give you any more info about it until we get more info from you. How many miles on the truck, how is it used, when and how did it happen or when did you notice it? Any ideas at all where the oil is coming from? Kind of hard to diagnose from here....
Where are you located? |
sounds like you blew the oil pump up, it sits right behind the cover plate behind the damper, you said flat to the floor, what RPMs were you at, pump failure has been know to happen if over 4K rpm:scare2:
6.0's aren't fast until after 4k rpms though!!!! :rocking:
mini max tuner close to 4200 rpms
the stock pump gear is cast, I believe Elite Diesel sells a billet pump, look for holes behind the damper, when they explode it gan punch through the front case.

I have a 2004 6.0 that quit on the way home from church. It was running fine, turned the curve, and it quit. The following have been replaced, HPOP, LPOP, Turbo, EGR Cooler, EGR Valve, Glow Plug Control Module, FICM, Degas Bottle, Head Gaskets, Injectors, Timing Cover, and other miscellaneous parts. Any ideas?:scare2:

Can u scan it? You need to check your operating parameters and see what's up. Start with basics. Ficm volts is easy to check and big problem if it fails.
