So today I put sixty in the tank and the factory gauge drops below the E, and Low Fuel light comes on, but as i drive it it made it to the 25 percent dash and stopped. I turned the truck off and on but didnt reset so I disconnected the battery hoping that will reset it but if it don't anyone have any idea to fix it?

 

do you fill up with a semi nozzle or pick-up nozzle????

 

Shouldn't make a difference which nozzle he's filling with...


definitely something going on there, could be a faulty sender, or the gauge itself could be acting up.

 

as i just told him in a PM i've heard that if you fill up with a rig nozzle ''A LOT'' it ''CAN'' screw up ur in tank float... i think it like bends the rod the float runs up and down on and it will hang up sometimes... i just thought i would ask...

 

i have the same problem with my truck

sometimes shows empty and light comes on.....

then all of a sudden goes back where the level is......

 

Thats whats going on right with it right now
