white smoke when engine is cold
hi my uncle has an 06 6.0 and when he starts it it has no power and blows white smoke until it gets up to running temp after that it runs great. any suggestions what it could be??

thats a start thanks for the input, im a dodge man and have never popped the hood on a ford. this should be iteresting lol

Hard to say, could be a number of things, try reading codes and try testing the FICM, it's VERY easy to do and will at least eliminate that as a possibility if it tests ok.

sounds like the problem i had with my high pressure oil rail plugs. theres a little seal on them that blows. my truck would blow white bluish smoke for the first 3-4 mins until it warmed up and had no power. also hard to start at times. eventualy got worse and wouldnt start.

I would monitor the fluid levels to make sure not antifreeze....:hellox:
or may be condensation in the pipe.... This morning started then a few minutes later start seeing smoke out of pipe.. If the fluids are okay ...i would not worry about it:tu: |
