Default What exhaust should I choose?

I am getting a 4" exhaust turbo back to bypass the DPF and Cat to increase performance and sound. My question is should I go with a straight pipe or should i get the straight pipe that turns into the dual exhaust?

I plan on putting on a black Maxx tuner along with the egr delete and cooler delete.

Do i need to put a muffler on it? I just don't know if a straight pipe with no dpf,cat or muffler would be too loud.

Any suggestions would be great thanks a lot in advance!

f250 6.0l no mods just purchased, running on 20's.

If your truck is a 6.0 it does not have a DPF. 4" Turbo Back will work just fine.

You will like a 4 inch. May even pick up a mile or 2 in mpg. The downpipe on those is the hardest part. Last 2 I did for some reason I had to cut a bit of the padding around the cab to get them in. It's a tight fit but the rest is down hill from there. I'd suggest tourching the double hanger above the muffler. Lube the hangers up good for a day or 2 with some good penetrating oil prior to the instal. Try and save those hangers and a sawzall is your friend just cut the pipe. I'd recommend going with stainless steal. Or vendors can help you with your purchase I like magnaflow myself.

5" will give a little deeper sound.

Anyone have any ideas about the need for a new manifold or if I need a muffler on my truck?

send bigrigs a pm on here he has diamond eye 4in duals with there race muffler and it sounds really good. i would deff. put a muffler on it. bigrigs ran straight pipe for a bit with his duals and it sounded good at low rpms but up top it was very raspy and loud. now with the muffler it carries a nice tone thru the rpm range.

I have a 2005 F-250 that recently had a rough idle, slow take offs, engine shuts off when i came to a stop, but now its running great for some reason. Now the truck is running great but i have white smoke blowing from the exhaust and its using coolant. I ordered a bullet prood oil cooler and egr cooler. I was wondering if im heading in the right direction any info??
