low boost code
so today i got a low boost code on my sct.. now what do i do??
i also was hiting 40 psi on the boost the other day.. that can not be good?? |
Check your map sensor first. Make sure the hose is still connected on either end and no rips.
Also make sure you didn't loose a boot. |
Despite what the code says, how is the truck running?
|
truck is runing good.. i was check just for the hell of it an the code showed up.. so i check it again an it didnt show up.. turbo needs to be cleaned, but other then that.. its runing good
where is the map sensor?? |

I had a low boost code show up on mine, I think that if you happen to lug the engine down, then put your foot into it, the turbo can't spool up fast enough to catch up to the engine demand. the map sensor see's that and will throw a code, IF you do this several times. where you towing or just driving. I live in the mountains and some times when I go to pass someone I have to make sure my rpm is at least 2k or higher other wise it will throw the code. but not always light the MIL. because I have a way to read codes now every once in awhile I put my computer on the truck just to see whats up and low and behold there it is. i think it's a p0701 low turbo boost. I've cleaned my turbo it wasn't real bad but it still does it???? maybe I have a weak map sensor.

i dont tow.. yes when im driving, ill jump on the gas an it works just fine then ill let off and drive down the road and then ill jump on her again.. junked up!! i know she needs to be cleaned out.. im starting to think i should just get a new one....
it loads up alot.. is that due to me driving like a gal?? |
Yes the name is Josh.
utting around is not the best for it by anymeans. But the EGR and he oil breather are the worst for it. Once those are gone you'll be good to go once the turbo is cleaned and possibly a new vgt solenoid. |
