jerking and bucking
anyone have an idea of why my 05 250 might be jerking and bucking under light load going up a slight hill? I give it throttle and it goes away there are no mods to the truck.225k on the clock. it does it more around 60 to 68 mph. put it in tow haul mode and its not as bad.:argh:

Have you checked for any codes?
|
I scanned it last night and it didn't have any codes.

Test your FICM

I'd bet money on injectors sticking. Buy a bottle of Rev-X and see if it goes away. I bet that's it. Mine has done this for quite a while, but only when it's cold. Once it's warmed up it more or less goes away. In your case, with that many miles....

mine is doing it wether its cold or hot. I let it warm up for ffteen minutes at least before I drive off in it. Im new to owning a 6.0 so Im not used to how they act.

Well the problem has seemed to have stopped. I didn't do anything to fix it. It did idle for about 5 to 6 hoours last night. Don't know:humm: these six ohs are funny creatures to me. Where can i get rev-x at?

Rev-X available @ Black Cloud Diesel Performance, Diesel Pickup Truck Performance Products and Upgrade Parts - http://www.blackclouddiesel.com - http://www.blackclouddieselperformance.com
5 - 6 hours of idling will cause you bigger problems unless you run in an elevated idle mode. |
A fuel pressure gauge would help tremendously in catching and preventing issues later on, and will also help in diagnosing problems like this. I think every 6.0 on the planet should have one, as well as a coolant filter, from the factory. :c:
