can a gutted cat cause any problems to my 2004 f-350 6.0 ???

idk it shouldnt because doesnt it only cut down noise and some smell?....my one buddy has his truck straight piped and for a year he had no problems...and also on youtube theres some 6.0 s wiith straight piped and or gutted cat:tu:

there is no problems that can arise from gutting a cat, maybe on the new DPF equipped trucks cause they have o2 sensors and everything which having a gutted converter would mess with that, however on pre DPF trucks the cat was just there to be there pretty much, and only positives can come from getting rid of the cat converter
