Default #4 Rocker arm broke

Found Broke #4 Rocker Arm. Has anyone replaced just one rocker arm or do you still have to pull the hole head. Any tricks would help not having to pull the head.

Pull the valve cover, you should have no problem replacing it without taking the head off. I would be more concerned as to WHY that happened. It's not completely unheard of, but most of the ones I've seen break are because the valves stuck in the guides, which resulted from blown headgaskest. The coolant leaked in enough that it corroded the valve guide and the valve stuck in the guide, then the piston smacked it...

Did anyone look down in the cylinder? Was there a compression test done on it?

The heads are reman. and his receipt he has 1200 miles on them with Arp's and gaskets. I believe it was over revved maybe with the edge on it this truck gets no mercy customer stated after heads were done truck was pulling 38lbs of boost and before the heads it was pulling 27lbs. tops. But i will do a compression check and borescope to see the piston. Thanks for the help again Mdub

I run over 35psi daily with my SCT as well. I run to 4200 rpms as well. Haven't had any issues of late, but I have blown 2 sets of headgaskets, one set was with ARP's installed. I am now back to stock junk TTY bolts but still running hot tunes and no issues now so!?

It is reported that when doing head studs you have to put the push rods and rockers in place and tight before you torq the head bolts. They will bend push rods or break things if you don't
