Callin all signs of blown head gasket
:argh: need signs of blown head gasket..this is my last resort
blowing coolant, loss in power but not much mainly coolant everywhere
milkshake on the oil dipstick is a good one too, oils and water don't mix well
I agree with the oil/coolant mixing signs. Dipstick or the degas bottle with oil/water together is a sure sign. Degas bottle puking isn't a sure sign by itself.
No loss in power at all..no coolant oil mix...just coolant comes out the degas lid when i "get on it"
I never lost power and my coolant and oil didn't mix, but headgaskets were definitely blown. Usually it will just push it out the overflow.
I really haven't seen too many 6.0s mix oil and coolant when the gaskets blow. |
tea kettle whistle from degas bottle cap
uh, whats a degas bottle?
This may not apply, but I blew a head gasket between cylinders on a 289 once, no fluid loss, no over heating, but two cylincers sharing compression made for a HUGE lack of power. |
see i have none of these signs except Mdub707 had..no loss in anything no mixes just coolant out the degas
degas bottle is your coolant resevoir
