fuel tank size
ok 06 f250 short bed fuel tank size...anyone know what it is with the reserve
i believe it would be a 28 gal tank.
na cause ive come close to e and it held 29 w/o topping off...im just tryin to figure it out so i can do some math and see how long it will take me to pay for some parts with the money i save from increasing mpgs
might be a 38 then, but i'm not sure if the reserve is counted in the total gallons held or not. ya know 32 + reserve.
ya...im thinking its a 38 plus reserve but i figured id ask to be sure
ok while were talkin fuel tanks anyone know the capacity on a 94 f350 idi long bed 4x4 with dual tanks? one big tank along the frame and another smaller one under the spare tire.
i have a extended cab short bed and it has a 28 gallon tank. i though 38 gal only went in the long beds but 've been wrong before.
ok i dont think it looks like 38 but with the little one under the spare tire it may be. thanks! now i guess i gotta drop em for one reason or another its only lettin me put about 12 gallons in either tank
ive got no clue and i cant find anything on the internet about the 6.0L...i can find it for the v10 but not for the 6.0
The short bed o6 tank is the same as the 05 ad it is 33.4 gallons reserve and all. I figure it out when I dropped mine to do some other mods to the truck and got tired of reading everywhere that its only a 25 gal but yet I had been putting in 32 sometimes on long trips ( yes there was some praying going on on those trips). Now I also have a 45 in the bed so no more of those fun times.:jump::jump:
thanks man...

My 06 short bed was listed as 29 gallons. I've never put more than that into it even when filling the neck.

Mdub run it down to the "E" and then the light will come on keep running for a few more miles and when you decide you are really scared of running out of fuel then start looking for a fuel station and try filling it up to the filler neck. Not being sarcastic and trust me I have been at te scared step on the freeway in stoped traffic and prayed alot.
i've been down that road before. a couple of us went out to ohio for a wedding a few years ago and i drove. filled up the truck in the morning before i went to work in the woods, worked all day, met the boys and we left. got out in to ohio at 10pm on E in farm country with no diesel station in sight:scare2:. finally found a place to get it after asking a tanker truck driver who delivered gas and had not a clue and alot of driving on fumes and a prayer. fun time though.

Thanks for the specs Senior :tu:btw where did you find them because before I got feed up and did the test myself (and needed to drop tank anyways) I looked all over for them and could not find anything? I think that may be the actual tank but I always go to the top of the neck when I fill. Cheers all :c: and thanks for the info any one tell me if I can mount the 38 gal. tank under my standard bed need more fuel for long trip coming up.
