Batteries draining overnight
 

I've got a 1/2 amp draw with the key off, and after everything goes to sleep. sort of speak. I've traced it to (I believe it's)fuse #19 might have been # 18. The book says it's for the Body Security Module??? Whatever that is. Anyways when I pull the fuse the .5 amp draw drops to .02 amps. My ? is does anyone have any info on this module or have any ideas of what part this is? Unfortunately I can't just leave the 10 amp fuse out as it's associated with multiple devices on the truck. As always any info is greatly appreciated.:argh::humm::c:

what does the fuse power? and a .02 amp draw is acceptable on all cars and trucks im pretty sure, for the radio and the ecm to stay on while it sits. the truck always uses power.

Funny.....I went to start my truck a month ago and the batteries were both dead. I charged them back up and havent had a problem so far. I couldn't figure it out though. I thought maybe the glow plugs stayed on over night or something.:humm:

maybe was it left in accessory? interior lights on? glow plugs will not come on unless the ignition switch is in the run position. and if they did get left on they would've burned out after about 5 minutes or so.

i don't know...can't figure it out....all lights were off and no accessories left on:humm:

With the fuse pulled the dome light will not time out, the keyless entry doesn't work, nor does the 4X4. Which is definitely needed currently. Just wanted to know if anyone else has had any issues with this module, or what it is actually called on the parts sites, 'cause I can't find it listed anywhere either.:argh::dang::c:

try this out and see if it will helpits a ford expedition but it kind of explains the body security module I have a 2003 Ford Expedition. The Automatic h... - JustAnswer let me know and i will look some more kind of a pita trying to find info on this :argh:

so the fuse you pulled control's the 4x4, dome timer, and keyless entry? and that fixes the draw?

get a good manual and start checking resents or oms sound like you have something going bad in one of systems. Does it have a circuit board get it checked out at ford.
