coolant

I have 6.0 that is useing coolant for a while. I have head studs any other ideas guys. I,m praying its not the heads thats why I did studs. Now sometimes it blows overflow res. If you think its my gasket be nice I might cry if I have to have the cab pulled again.

Couple of things.

When you had the gaskets done, did they send the heads to a machine shop for pressure test and magniflux?

What studs did they use?

Are you getting any steam out the exhaust? Like maybe the EGR cooler let go?

Is it always pushing coolant or only under heavy load/high boost?

I would suspect egr cooler if it has not been deleted yet.

Same prob here. I would say EGR.

Egr deleted and under high boost it blows out. But it burns under all conditions. ARP head studs can an egr still rupture if its been delete dang:

Mine blew the headgaskets again with ARP's installed, just as easy as the OEM TTY bolts. The dealership did my stud install... that's why it blew again. I'd bet money the heads were never truly flat.

The dealer took my studs out of the truck the last time they did the gaksets and told me they wont do them again. Now I'm waiting for nicer weather to just do it myself, and do it right!

Is there anything else it could be?

can an egr rupture after its been blocked off?
