Anyone want to try it out?

Its probably just the 08+ cover. You can go buy it at your local dealer for under $100. The cover that comes on the 08+ trucks is aluminum and finned, very inexpensive upgrade for the older trucks.

DFuser has these as a kit with all the stainless bolts to fit (the factory ones wont work because the cover is a different thickness). Sorry if vendors sell this, I just know this one off the top of my head.

I have an '08 cover installed and it looks completely different than this one. They are not selling a modified '08 cover trust me.

I'm not sure I'd pay almost double the price of an 08 cover for that though...

What's the difference between the 08 cover and the link you posted? I mean, what benefit would this one give you over the 08 cover?

The lower drain port. Didn't you look at the picture?

Yes, but didn't know what I was looking for!:humm:

I haven't had to change my fluid yet and never seen an 08 cover up close.

Couldn't you tap and thread a hole into the 08 cover and just plug it up?

That's not really feasable since the raised fins run the lenght of the cover.

You got a pic of yours installed? I have access to a machine shop so I could easily machine an area flat to drill and tap, but for most people, yes that wouldn't be feasible.

No pictures to load but find any '08 and look at the rear diff. That's what I got on mine with Royal Purple keeping it all lubed.
