black smoke

i have an 04 f250 superduty and i have an 8in. bds lift with 37 in. open country m/t and an edge platnum w/ juice and i want more smoke. i get a little but only when the turbo spools up not when im stopped. so how do i get a lot of black smoke?

Ok well why do you want black smoke in the first place??:ph::argh: The EPA is coming down hard on the diesel performance world to put an end to diesel emissions. If you want some smoke get rid of that edge platnum and get a SCT X3 with some custom tunes and get a safe smoke tune. That'll put out enough smoke.

get on innivative diesels web site or talk to them they can write you a tune that should make it smoke more and they make a much larger tune than the edge or you can put a lift pump and bigger injectors on and delete your cat and muffler

I think the EPA will tighten up emissions on newer trucks, but what can they do about current trucks on the road today? Can they regulate emissions after the truck is bought? I don't think so. If you want smoke there is nothing that the EPA can do, I likw performance without smoke myself. I am an old gasser - smoke is a bad thing.

yeah they can, california is already getting some of the older trucks retrofitted with DPF's...anytime they want they could make it a law that all diesels must have a DPF because for some reason the EPA has more power over the government then the government themselves...im not against smoke and most people arent, but what we dont like seeing is dumbass kids with their truck cranking fuel thru it just to smoke out cars on the highway, if ya keep it on the backroads and not in front of the everyday person that can call and complain about it then smoke away its your fuel not mine...and that is all i have to say about that, im not trying to stir up shit just saying....i have a feeling at work that will be the next big project for the company is to retrofit DPF's on all the OTR trucks :se:
