Really depends on who's working on it. Me personally? I wouldn't really care about the exhaust, and I do not believe engine coverage can be effected by lift/tires, but you may get a guy refusing to work on it, since it is a lifted vehicle.

Where are you located?

The dealers around here will not cover EGR valve cleaning under warranty. If the valve has failed they will replace it, but for cleaning you will pay regular shop time.

If a Ford dealer offers to clean your EGR valve for you, they're screwing you.

Ford neither recommends or endorses cleaning EGR valves. Why would you pay to have something cleaned, when they will replace it for free?

The EGR TSB clearly states "DO NOT CLEAN THE EGR VALVE".

I understand what you are saying about the TSB telling you not to clean the valve. I see in your signature that you are a service tech. Unless they trained you to put your brain in park and be a parts changing robot you may want to re-read the question that was ask and the replies. Wow....!
