ZF6 out of '05 6.0L

There is a local ZF6 for sale out of an '05 6.0L PSD with a transfer case on it. Brand new never used with a 1 year warranty for $3150.. I need a trans. with a transfer case for my conversion and was wondering if this may be a good choice? Is the ZF6 a reliable trans? What model is the transfer case?

I'm quite sure that it is but just to make sure, All superduty Ford front axles are drivers side drop correct?

Thanks in advance.

PS. Yes I do realize I will have to get an adapter plate to mate it to the Cummins....

I know the ZF they put behind the duramax , needs a better clutch to hold any kind of extra power, even heard of some guys having trouble with stock power. I think with some modification they are pretty good.

the clutch in mine has never slipped after the power adders ive done. i know i havent added an extreme amount of power. but the zf 6 is a pretty stought tranny behind the ford. i dont know if there is a difference with the one chevy's run or not. but the zf is a good reliable trans. the zf 5 i have in my 97 has been virtually bulletproof. good luck man
