Coolant contamination
Any help is great, I seem to be having a mixture of diesel in my coolant, I purchased a new cap and nothing changes. I'm new to the 6oh and need as much info as my brain can handle.

You have a cracked head. Usually happens around the middle two cylinder injector hold-downs. IMO one head is as prone as the other.
Not good to let it continue. You can google the issue, and can even find a few repair methods. IMO it is probably just as good to get a new head. Not cheap, but you can have studs installed. Don't cheap out on a new head either if you want reliability, |
Accurate Diesel makes repair kits, but you will have to find out which cylinder head has the crack. Do a you tube search, and that will help you. But of course the repair might not last forever, and you will develop a crack in another cylinder. There are some companies out there that make upgraded heads to take care of the problem the 6.0 has with these heads. If you get a used one, you might wind up with the same problem. Accurate Diesel says it is usually the 2 middle cylinders on the passenger side, but it can happen on either side. Good Luck

Another post - "I need help", but doesn't check back for days, if at all ....... Happening a lot lately on all the forums - interesting trend.
