Runs but wont start

I have a 04 f350 superduty with 6.0 powerstroke diesel that was running fine. It started getting a rough ride around 45-60 mph, so i changed the #8 injector and everything smooth out for about 2 months. Was running good at this point until my wife drove it to a family members house, cut it off went in and came right back out and it would not start have run battery dead twice trying to get it started. i ohmed out the glow plugs and getting good readings on all but #7, have check and getting food fuel to filter on engine but still no start. I spray a lithle ether in it and it started up and idled fine but when i cut it off again no start. Can somebody please help me??

Do you have the ability to see sensor values? Meaning do you have a scan tool or anything? You need to look at ICP, IPR, etc...

Without that information, we are shooting in the dark.

In addition to cranking values for ICP and IPR, it would be helpful to also see the FICM values for MPower and LPower. Having it scanned for codes with a good quality scan tool would also be helpful.

IMO every 6.0L owner should download a phone app (Forscan is the best for reading codes and also retrieves engine parameters) along with the appropriate OBDII WiFi or Bluetooth ELM327 adapter.

Lastly, 04 was a transition year. Please help us determine if it is an early one or late one. Where is the ICP sensor located?

I have a cheap scan tool and have hooked it up but haven’t checked actual values or if it will show the values but i know its not showing any codes. The sensor is on valve cover on passwnger side right beside the module for the glow plugs. My radiator was leaking also and i have pulled it and waiting for repairs to be made on it. I hope to get it back in in the next day or so but was hoping there was something i could do while i wait

Most cheap scan tools won;t read very many codes on your truck. I would recommend borrowing one from an auto parts store.

We really do need cranking values to help.
