I Really could use some help
OK please send winning lotto numbers for next powerball :) Seriously, I'm up to my friggen eyeballs of stress. To boot, I jumped into my truck and it started and then died. 2003 F350 SD crew cab 6.0 liter. I bullet proofed the engine 3 years ago, no problems to date.....till today. I went to plug in my torque app and I had no profile so I had to make a new one. Torque pulls up....p2291/p2623 Injection Control pressure regulator circuit open/low. IPR, right? Now, where to get the tool? Also, can I flush the IPR and replace the scene or do I need a new one? I"m at my wits end!!! Working on the wife's car and I'm covered in tranny fluid, trying to clean the house because we are selling to down-grade and I"m just overwhelmed!
Anyway, I need some help finding the info and tools I need in a hurry for a cheap price. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks :D |
Flush the irp?
Replace the scene?:humm: |
That is my first thought too. FLush the ICP. What fluid should I used to flush the ICP control valve? WD-40? Brake cleaner??? I'm not sure because it's a diesel and I've heard brake cleaner can really damage a diesel engine. I assume brake cleaner will work fine, just being extra careful, my F350 is my baby :D

OK, I got home from work and I attempted to connect torque and my blue tooth which worked fine. Unfortunate for me.... my batteries are not so good all of the sudden :( Currently on battery chargers and batt's are about 1 year old. Granted, my truck sit's for the most part but I drive her once a week. guess I need to invest in a battery tender because I know that bad batteries can mess up the FICM.
Anyway, I did get the truck to attempt to turn over and I got some codes; P2291 ICP too low engine cranking & P2623 ICpsi reg circuit open From what I've seen on youtube, on the 2003-04's this is usually the ICP control valve stuck or failure, correct? I am just hoping it's not the HPOP! I will have some better numbers later once my batteries charge up, but my ICP was under 500, i think it was 200 psi and my IRP was 83% :( My FICM was 48.5, FICM sync was @ 0 but I suspect the refresh rate for now, hoping I don't have any other problems. Thank you for the help:tu: |
OK, batteries charged to full;
FICM 48v Good! FICM sync 0???? I"m not getting a code for this so I"m hoping that it's a refresh problem vs cam sensor problem ICP = 200 max I hope it's not HPOP! I have read that 2003-04, most commonly IRP valve stuck IRP = 83.9% + leak of some sort. Any thoughts, ideas, or direction on this headache ???? |
