6.0 powerstroke acceleration problem

I have a 2004 f250 with the 6.0 powerstroke. I'm having problems with accelerating, takes a while to build rpms and will only build 19psi boost. No codes pop up on my bully dog monitor. Cleaned turbo, changed oil, fuel filters, turbo vgt solenoid, and cleaned egr valve and replaced the map sensor hose. The truck runs good and idles good until about 2,000 rpms where it starts to hesitate. When it first starts up it runs awesome and has great power at the first wot run and makes 25 psi boost then after it loses power again and will only make 15-18. If I turn truck off for a few seconds and restart it the truck will run good for the first wot pull again then will lose power again. I checked the fuel flow on my bully dog monitor when it first starts up and runs good at wot it pulls 23gph then when it loses power it only flows 12-14gph. Truck is not tuned and is driven 100 miles daily. I think it could be the fuel pump but not sure if the fact that it's only reading 19psi of boost is causing it to go into limp mode cutting the fuel supply. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Watched this video. Mine was doing the same thing and this was the cause. Also change fuel filters.

I have read all the posts on here, I just had all 8 injectors and all 8 glow plugs replaced. Truck had misfires in few cylinders. Now since having them all replaced the truck bucks or misses at highway speeds....I had mechanic ride with me and hook up computer, there is no misfires in any cylinders and the FICM only drops to 47, but they cannot figure out the issue. I have an EGR delete done...also the truck never did miss or buck at highways speeds even when I had bad injectors! It would only miss first thing in morning and had a rough idle, since new injectors and glow plugs, truck idles smooth. HELP!!!! Truck is getting expensive!

If u get an answer to this issue please let me know I also posted about mine so I can let u know if I figure anything out I also replaced all 8 injectors because of rough idle/ running conditions when truck was cold and its doing exactly what you described

Will do! Truck goes back to mechanic Monday for them to do more tests, my thoughts are injector sticking or wire loose...

I had mine on the scanner for hrs yesterday at my buddies shop w his lead tech and we just couldn't seem to find anything actually wrong w it or any explanation for this " mystery miss" :argh: That sounds exactly like yours I'm gonna change my oil here in a little just in case the hot shot additive I ran during the stiction issue or something from the work I just did has the oil thinned out

Let me know! That is my next step as well....Its annoying as hell when driving down the highway:dang:

Changed oil and removed the blue spring still having the same issue. Another friend that is a ford diesel tech said I'm getting air in the fuel he is gonna check it out for me tomorrow. I'll let u know what I find out

Here is what I was just emailed from Bill at power stroke help, he is amazing at power stroke motors. Now granted I never told him the reason I replaced injectors were due to scanner showing bad. Below is his reply::humm:

you probably did not have bad injectors at all but a bad fuel pump that cannot keep up with the fuel demand at higher speeds. it will have fuel pressure at idle but runs out once you are moving. if decide to replace the full pump use only the Ford unit. all the rest is junk.

Did you clean out the little nipple that little map sensor hose hooks to? Sometimes that thing will coke up
