2006 6.0 with 320k miles

I'm looking to buy this truck but I've herd nothing good of the 6.0. But this truck has 320k miles???? Did it dodge the bullet?? It also has 40 service records I can't see cause I'm not willing to pay $40 to see them. What is it about this truck

Depends how truck was treated and what has been done. Also how familiar are you with diesel and can you wrench on your own? If truck has been bulletproofed, the problem areas of egr and oil cooler have been addressed, and head studs installed you should have reliable truck!

Check for blow-by as well. That should give you a better idea

A friend is a ford diesel mechanic and I asked him if I got a 6.0 with all the upgrades would it be a wise decision and he told me no. I've seen alot of these engines go belly up. Have friends that have replaced three sets of injectors on a 06. For me I'd run.

3 sets of injectors? Somebody is throwing parts at a problem instead of finding the problem! Gotta find a mechanic or do your homework and get problem fixed not just throw parts. All used trucks have problems. I work on job sites with a lot of one ton trucks being used hard every day and while you see some gm, a dodge or two, 80% of the trucks are fords. Diesel and some gas engines, loaded up with tools and towing pipe trailers, sign boards and utility construction items. I'm seeing a lot of F150 lately too. Guess the guys who work em like Ford!

How much for the truck?
