Truck dies while driving
 

I have a 05 powerstroke and last week after a rain I was driving my truck everything ran fine all day driving home that night and it just shuts off like you turned off the key, pulled over and it would just crank no start. The next day it started right up. Well it happened again yesterday hooked up the scan gauge said 0 sync stated pulling it home and it started right up a block down the road. Bad wire? Any suggestions? It is studded, egr delete, new turbo and straight pipe. Replaced the crank and cam shaft sensors 2 months ago

Check connectors and wires on cam sensors.

I will check wires when I get home tonight. Think the main fuel filter or lift pump could also be bad?

Could be but mine ran with a dead airdogII . .

I went to try and start it this morning wouldn't stay running unless I had my foot on the gas if I let my foot off it would just die. Changed the fuel filters to

I know that this thread is a few months old, but my 2003 was doing similar type things. I had my FICM repaired and upgraded by ED @ FICM.com. I installed it and one connection was snapped into place, but it was not completely seated on one of the connectors. I figured it out as I would look @ the FIMC via my phone / torque program and I would see 48.5v and then 0v. I looked, found the connector that was not seated correctly. I cleaned the plug, seated it and it's ran fine since.
