Oil Change Flop...

So, just to clarify, i just had my shoulder fixed, and i took my truck into the shop for a quick oil change. 2003 F350 6.0, 145k miles(ish), 6" lift on 37's, 4 door, flatbed, custom bumper(background on truck). So when I bought this truck, i fell in love with it. got home and remembered that 03 6.0's sucked with no money to bulletproof them. The headstuds have been replaced already, and a additional filter (coolant i assume) has been done. My starter went out during our below 10 degrees days, and then my water pump right after that. I've been told my injectors are still good and working perfectly. Anyway, after i picked up my truck from the shop, I couldn't get it to hit 15 mph on flat pavement after 5 minutes of warm up, and this was about a month ago now. This truck is my hauler, puller, and very seldom town driver which is 6 miles away. I haven't pulled anything heavy for the truck, all loads have been under 6k lbs. But every time i have had to go to town, after letting it warm up for 10 minutes in 90 degree weather, it still will not get above 20. by the time i get to town i can do 50+ easy. Should I let it warm up for 30 minutes before driving? or should I get some other shop to look at it? And most the time i have to get to town it's because of an emergency, so letting it warm up 5 minutes is hard. I don't have a scanner available at the moment, but I think i could find a guy if needed. Please help before the truck gets put up for sale. Thanks for everything in advance.

I would let a diesel shop look at your truck.
I know of a good shop, but i don't know the general area where you are located.

i'm at the south eastern side of the state by pullman, home of the WSU cougars if that helps.

Did they knock off a wire for sensor? Wrong oil filter? Sounds fishy to me.

looked at all the wiring, went and bought motocraft oil filter and ford cap, changed the filter, and it helped a bit, can now get up to 35 without waiting the 30 minutes for warm up. i just changed the oil myself, including oil filters and fuel filters, still has same problem. hopefully will have a guy look at it soon to tell me wtf is going on.

ok a couple of things here was the trucking good before you took it to the shop.if it was i would make them fix if not here are a few things to check for lack of power.

check your inter cooler boots they can delvelop a rip or hole from abuse.

the black hose coming off the map sensor going to intake manifold also check that brass nipple could be clogged.

I THINK THIS IS YOUR ISSUE...YOUR TURBO MAYBE STUCK OR GETTING STUCK.your truck is faster if it falls out of a tree when this happens.

check the ebp sensor and wiring and also the tube.

CHECK FUEL PRESSURE AT IDLE AND UNDER A LOAD needs to be at least 45 psi.i will say this will KILL AN INJECTOR very quick.

your air filter could be really clogged if you have no air coming in so the fuel can burn you won't make any power.

you could also have a hpo leak or the ball on the side of the pump could have come out.

also if you have a whistle high pitched squeal or hiss check your up pipes and see if you see signs of black soot.if you do see black soot that is a leak and you are losing power.if you see black soot on the exhaust side this will be after the turbo and entering the exhaust that is a leak also but you will not lose power over it.

the logic or high side of your ficm could be dropping honestly you need to invest a scan gauge 2 for about 150 buck so you can monitor your truck and let us help you fined your problems quicker.

Update on flop

So, i finally was able to get a guy down from northern idaho, and he told me that 3 injectors were bad and the ficm is shot to shit. and also an ICP switch is bad because it gets too much heat on it. So i had him fix all those problems. the next day going to town was awesome, i had my old truck back. until i left the store 10 minutes after shutting it off. i suddenly had absolutely no power, and was almost stuck on flat ground. went home, drank beer, let it cool off, then went to bed. the next day i was heading to work, and it died on me while driving. it never acted funny before it died, no lights came on before it died that i noticed. i got it towed to a local shop, and he did some tests on it and 20 something different codes popped up. so i called my guy from northern idaho to come down and take a look, and he said the batteries were dead, so i replaced the batteries. after i replaced the batteries, the truck started like it should, perfectly. so i was happy and headed home to grab the family and go for a drive. 2 hours later, i go and try to start my truck and it won't start. only cranks. so i told the shop that it ain't running and if they could find time to look at it to see what is going on. 2 days later the mechanic intown went to start looking at shit, and it started up with no problem. so i came in town to pick it up, and it started. i drove it home, 6 miles away, i shut it off and just for shits and giggles i try to start it again. and to my amazing luck, it won't start. so it won't start when the engine is warm, but will start when the engine is cold... but i still have no power to go anywhere in my driveway.
