High mileage 6.0
 

so i have the opportunity to buy a 2004 f350 6.0 powerstroke cclb. its a southern truck with zero rust. the dealerships askin $7k for it and my only concern is its got 215k miles on it. should i stay away or go for it

What is the history record for the motor?

I would recomend taking it to a good diesel shop and have them go through the entire truck and give you a list if anything they found.

I bought my 03 Ex for about the same but spent more than the purchase price fixing or replacing bad components. I agree that a good powerstroke shop should go over the common (expensive) issues on the truck before you buy. FYI my head gaskets on my 230K truck were okay but everything else wasn't lol
