Cranks, No Start, No Codes

Hey, I'm Twist...hope I'm doing this right it's my first post. I have an '03 F350 DRW 4x4 6.0 Diesel. I have little history on the truck as I bought it not running. It has 2 new batteries & previous owner told me the only code that popped was the ICP, so I replaced it & I soldered the connections not just those cheap connectors. Since the ICP replacement, it still cranks, no start, but also I couldn't see any smoke either. During cranking the one thing that I did see was that there is no movement from the oil pressure needle, it remains flat! I have fuel, checked & rechecked that. During cranking my oil resevoir is "empty". The filter seems to be connecting the bottom spring so that seems odd too me, also the filter was dryish when I pulled it to check oil flow. I'm leaning towards bad HPOP & looking at the kit to rebuild it, so long as the pump itself isn't done, but can use all the help I can get. The truck has new injectors, new rails, head bolts are done, new Crank Sensor, Cam Sensor, Fuel Filters, and has fuel in the tank.

I should also mention the truck has 320,000 kms on it and the FICM checks out at 48.6v while cranking. That's about all I can think to tell y'all...other than I don't any smoke during cranking so it seems to me there's no "fire" I'll call it to the engine, not even a hint at catching to run.

You need low pressure oil to feed the hpop. I would check oil pressure first.

Thanks for helping me out Sir! I hate to sound real dense but, in this case I am to a point. How do I check my LPOP pressure? I am assuming because the resevoir was empty, I would have none is all. I am unaware of how to go about checking the pressure tho I do own a psi pressure gauge.

Gotta get to oil pressure sending unit and adapt fitting to your gauge. I'm betting no or little low pressure oil so no hpop oil to run. Is there shavings in filter reservoir? I just opened one up and looks like low pressure pump wore into housing and sent shavings to filter

I can take care of that tomorrow & check the pressure, thank you! No the bottom of the reservoir was actually nice and clean, as far as debris goes, I'm thinking the oil can use a change & it couldn't possibly hurt the engine anyway huh. Since everything is clean [I actually used a magnet not just my eyes] I'm thinking of checking the regulator as well...I seen a post somewhere that it fails every now & then & it couldn't hurt to take it apart and clean it up as well. But it also mentioned it could be the cause of the lack of oil flow, perhaps y'all know better than I if that's true? I just cannot see the pickup tube being the issue, as I can see no signs of anyone ever being into the oil pan. Do they often corrode or break?

So until tomorrow when I can buy a new oil filter and stock cap for the thing...that's where I am at for causes...let's just hope that's as far as it goes. I could afford a seal kit to rebuild the pump with new orings, but I cannot aaford a new HPOP.
