Tool storage

I have no idea if this is the right place to post, move if necessary. What do you guys do for tool storage in your fords. I have the back seats folded up with the plate folded down and socket rails slide all over the place. That's my main problem. The tools go in and ride with me over the weekend. During the week the seats need to go down. Any solutions?

A tool bag set from Sears works great. Otherwise a bed mounted tool box is required.

Tool storage

A bed mounted toolbox isn't currently an option. I have a solid roll in bed cover then a 60 gallon fuel tank toolbox combo behind that which offers very little storage. Mainly Clevis hooks tow straps, jump cables, tarp and triangles. Not a lot of depth to it. Behind that is fifth wheel plates with a Reese "goose" gooseneck plate on it. I don't like the bed mounted boxes because they don't seem to offer much storage. I like the bag idea though. Does anybody know the real point of the metal fold out plates under the seat?

To keep items off the floor such as tools, tool bags, etc etc. LOL

I deleted the floor rack on my 2006. Depending on the size of space you require the bags will help somewhat.

I have a 6 draw metal tool box mounted sideways was behind the drivers seat. I can fold down the passenger rear seat for a passenger. Basically I can open the door and slide the draws out and get my tools. I sit my tool bag and a crate in front of it most the time too. Bed mounted tool box is not an option for me either. I have been fighting this problem for a while. Tools get put in the back seat, get thrown around and moved throughout the week working, then spend the weekend re-organizing and removing everything that has collected.
