what to do next.
 

I have a 05 powerstroke with 92000 miles. I want to start the preventative maintenance by bullet proofing but can't afford it all at once. So far I have an egr delete, new ford degas bottle cap, sct live wire programmer and cold air intake. I bought the truck with 86000 miles (my first diesel) ive switched the oil to rotella t6 and did a coolant flush (ford gold). Has a stock exhaust due to warranty and an aftermarket cold air intake but its the open not enclosed. Any suggestions on what to do next?

Save up for studs and bulletproofing if you want to modify heavy. . . Use good sct custom tunes for non stud if you just want a little more!!!!

Make sure you fix the STC fitting and Stand Pipes and Dummy Plugs. There are upgrades for these parts that will enhance your reliability. The original factory components for your year engine have a high failure rate and are one of the main causes of stranding you on the side of the road or at least in a parking lot away from home.
At least check to see whether this has been done by the previous owner. Mine left me stranded in 2010 with about 80,000 miles (I have an 06, but it was built in 05). I did it myself along with a bulletproof EGR cooler and a new oil cooler. It took me a week to finish; I've rebuilt several gas engines, but this was my first experience doing any significant work on a diesel...so, it's not that hard of a job to do yourself and there's plenty of help on the forums to get you through it.
