NO START HOT, NOT HPOP, IPR, ICP, HELP!!!

I have a early 2004 f250 6.0, engine was 100% stock. 116k miles. and it developed the notorious HOT NO-START. I took it to the local Diesel shop. Thinking it was going to be the HPOP O-ring leak. and I was planning on having the Sinister EGR delete. Dropping the truck off in good faith. I get a call saying my HPOP was shot. So I had them put in a new ford pump. Then I was told I needed a IPR and a ICP sensor... a day latter they said I needed a new injector on cylinder 3. Yesterday picked up my truck drove it 9 miles turned it off and sure as S^%T.... SAME NO START WHEN HOT.. I take it back to the shop today ,, they say well you must have blown another injector... so far im 3,600 in repairs. and the truck is the exact same boat I started with. Please help.. Can a bad injector cause a no start with HOT? or did they mess something up and are trying to screw me.. ??

Ford will replace an entire injector if the oring on top fails, you can buy an entire Oring kit on ebay that includes the top Oring for around $100 for all 8 injectors. these are the kits from original manufacture that they sell to rebuild shops. normally if on fails it is best to replace them all/Orings/ because what made the one fail? high heat? loose oil rail? thay all may have been weakened

It's sounds like you need new stand tubs

You need a updated stand pipes dummy plug kit
that will fix your problem

I feel your pain bro, I"m having similar problems. I'll PM you some youtube video's later tonight. Are you getting any codes? I got a code reader from Autozone and I have ZERO codes. I found the fuse that goes to my OBD2 connector was burned out....check your fuses, that would be a good start. I've been looking at videos replacing the HPOP, ICP and IPR and testing the system. Personally, I think if I'm getting that deep with my truck, I plan on doing EVERYTYING... HPOP, ICP, IRP, injector rail O rings and nipple cups on the injectors. It just makes sence.

Ozz I was just telling you what I believe to be wrong with your truck.

Thanks for the help.. Not hijacking here since we are having similar problems. My truck was dying after it got warmed up. Then it would no start until it cooled down ( 30 minutes later ). It would then fire back up and run for 10 minutes and die again. I went to autozone and got a code reader and I found no codes. I opened up the secondary fuel filter, turned the KOEO and the fuel bowel filled up. I secured the cap back on the filter and my truck is running fine now?

Maybe there was air in my fuel system? Would we throw a code if the IRP or ICP was not working correctly?

Anyway, since we both have 2003-04 our trucks dont have dummy plugs, stand pips or STC sensors. So if you do have to get a HPOP, make sure it is for a 2003-04. I plan on getting one and just doing it so I don't get stuck hundred's of miles away with my family in the truck.

I got a Bluetooth OBD II adapter off eBay and the TORQUE pro app for my android. This is a great help in pointing in the right direction with live data monitoring. While cranking, IPR should go up to 88.4% until ICP reaches about 500-700. (Slight variation between different years) Before that, it will not fire. By the way, I also have a 2003 6.0L. :)
