Cant figure this out

Ok, hi guys i have a 04 6.0 stroker with the banks 6 gun on it and 3 inch exhaust "all aftermarket cat and muffler" not sure what they are. About a week ago my turbo stopped putting any boost out, so i replaced the turbo which now i have boost again. But my problem is i dont have near the power i had before all this happened. if i am driving 70 mph and get in it it feels like there is something blocking it and my boost jumps up to about 30. i have checked the bps and cleaned the egr valve thinking these thing might be hurting my cause to no avail i also checked all my tubes and hoses all are tight with no leaks or cracks, i checked it for codes and got none but, i dont have access to a scanner that does much more than that.
anyone have any other ideas that i might be able to try before i have to go spend a arm and a leg at the shop? p.s. if i ease into the throttle it will pick up and go i can hear the turbo spinning up but it acts like my dodge gas pickup did when the cat got pluged up the more throttle i gave it the slower it went. it is also blowing more black smoke than it used to (every gear) this is driving me nuts :scare2:

What happened to old turbo? Were vanes stuck? What did you get for replacement?

not sure what happened with the old one just replaced it with a garret reman

What made it fail? A turbo doesn't just stop boosting. Was it seized? Did it break and a piece of it get into intake or exhaust ?

i am not sure i just know i could stand on it and get nothing the turbo would not spool up,
i looked in both sides of the turbo and it all looked clear with nothing in it the veins turned freely there was a bit of play in my opinion but nothing obvious

I don't think turbo was problem unless it had broken shaft or impeller was spinning free. You have some other issue. Can you remove tune and return to stock? Do you have leaking up pipes or leaky flex in up pipe that u can't see? Is there an obstruction in exhaust? Is intake clogged up by EGR that u cleaned?

well when i replaced the turbo it you can hear it spool up and you can feel it boost if you ease into it but if if you get into it hard it feels like it is restricted i have checked all my pipes and i have not found any leaks or any sut anywhere so i am wondering if i have a blocked cat or muffler

also to mention when i get on it hard if feels like it is restricted but when you let off of it it seems to take off after the the pressure drops

Your truck wouldn't have a smoke switch in it would it .
I would fallow your wire's back from the turbo to see if someone put a switch or maybe they wore through some were because all the switch dose it shut your vanes down so your truck works and also blows smoke like a bitch.
