06 f250 running rough
 

Okay here is my problem. Just got my truck not even 2 monthes ago. Has only 96k on it. Truck was running fine no problems. Full if power. One night truck just started running rough. Took it 2 a local diesel shop and they told me it was a #8 injector gone bad.so i picked the truck up and that following saturday me and a buddy put a new injector in it from fords. Truck ran fine for about a day and a half and then it started running rough again.and the saturday we put it in was 3/8/14.so now the truck is running so poorly it stalled on me 3 times.juat me driving from work to home about 5 miles.so any advice i can get would help me out. I would prefer to talk on the phone. But this will do for now. If u meed anymore info let me know thanks

See about getting an OASIS report from a Ford dealer. This will show any work done at a dealer. This would help figure out if any updates have been done. Sounds like it could be a FICM or the STC fitting.

There's a tube that leads from the HPOP (high pressure oil pump) to the tube that branches off to each of the heads. The original factory version of this tube on your vehicle contained a fitting in this tube, called a Snap To Connect fitting. This fitting is similar to the couplings on an air hose, only it's supposed to handle upwards or 4000 PSI. This fitting has an O-ring in it that has a high incidence of failure.
There's an upgraded version of the tube that is a solid pipe (does not contain the STC fitting). If this has not been replaced, it needs to be done.
Sometimes this fitting fails so violently it breaks the aluminum cover behind the HPOP.
I did mine on my 06 at about 75,000 miles along with the stand pipes and dummy plugs (in the heads). These 3 components all have a high incidence of failure in the 05-07's.
I would agree with getting an OASIS report to find out whether any or all of these have been replaced...if so, you can move on to another cause.
