Which programmer/chip for a 2003 6.0?
Just got a 2003 6.0 F-350 crew cab lariat 4WD, and was wondering what programmers folks suggest? I haven't towed a whole lot with it just yet, just moved a car about two hours, and it tows okay, and is pretty quick and powerful when I'm not towing, but I've heard the edge programmer gives a little more power and better mileage.
What say those who have tried different programmers? I'm not interested in racing, mud runs, "rolling coal", etc., but I'll probably end up pulling a gooseneck full of horses kinda regularly, and hauling some equipment. |
I run an edge juice w/ attitude and like it a lot on my excursion! very simple to use and change on the fly. I pull a 20' travel trailer with it and no problems. just my .02C:humm:

SCT is all I would recommend for a 6.0

SCT with custom tunes is the best choice! Edge has a bad rep on the 6.0s. I run a hypertech tuner. Mainly for the speedo calibration. Got it for a hell of a deal so I do run the stage 1 tune until I order a SCT with vivian tunes. Can't complain about Hypertech.

Read previous posts, most folks are happy with the sct and you can find suppliers of custom tunes to really make some reliable power! :rocking:

Got a flashpaq a few years back so if price is your limiting factor, Superchips makes a fairly decent chip but if you can spend the dough then definitely a SCT. I haven't heard much about Bully Dog so I don't know about them. I can't complain about my Flashpaq though!
