Cleaning injectors

Ok so i have an 05 f250 with 167000 miles. On cold starts it smokes like like a steel factory for a minute or so also it almost reminds me of a miss mostly before its completly warmed up and also even after it warms up it will have the miss usually it seems like its after it downshifts. Anyhow im not throwing any codes my buddy owns a logging company and they have 3 6.0s and his shop mechanic said if i dont have the money for injectors he can just pull them and they use some sort of bigass cleaner on them for free. Idk much about this process so i was just wondering if this will actually work? I ordered some rev x to throw in after he does this but im just curious if this will work better? Oh and just an fyi they are all iriginal injectors except 1 was replaced last year. Also i have a sct tuner and egr delete, i dont think u care bout a lift or tires lol. If u need anymore info just let me know.

Before you pull any injectors try hot shot secret. It's a quart of cleaner you put in oil that seems to work for a lot of people. It just cleans, if you have bigger issues you will still have to repair. It's -$50 at our local central tractor supply. If it helps it was cheap fix, if not no harm. It was designed by a company for international when people started having stiction issues is story I got. It helped mine so I'm recommending it.

We also use a product from bg called cpr. Same thing basically in commercial strength. Likely available in any town in the US from a repair shop.

HSS worked for me too. Doesn't work instantly like Rev-X but starts to work after about 1000 miles. After one treatment my truck runs smooth and no more stiction! My HPOP did go out after about 500 miles after my last treatment but I doubt they are related.

The BGstuff is scarce around here but I bet you could get some from a distributor if you can find one locally. Either one is a cleaner and needs time to work, where rev x is a super lubricant and works quicker. . . It's amazing how sensitive these motors are to dirt but it's part of progress I guess. .
