2007 F250 w/ 83k exhaust, intake, inovative diesel sct. I did arps, ford gaskets, oil cooler and egr delete. Took my heads to a reputable machine shop to get decked and inspected. I started the truck after the install and had a tick which I thought was an injector. Got it up to temp but noise didn't go away. Pulled valve cover off of pass side (AE gave me a P0263) #1 Injector Circuit contribution/balance. And the oil rail has a rust colored haze to it and it seems there is coolant or fuel also under the valve cover. And I have a bend exhaust pushrod on cylinder #1. So then I also check the coolant level and notice the color seems dark. Open the cap to find.

I'm pretty sure it's fuel in the coolant.
Now my question is could something during the install cause a cracked head after inspection or did it get missed by the machine shop?

After some reading does anyone think it's possible to just have some oil residue in my coolant from the stud install? Not sure if it's oil or fuel. Hoping it's just residual oil and need to flush it out and should be good to go. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Tough to diag. Without getting in a little deeper. Wondering how pushrods bent? The in depth work u did can get pretty messy. What makes u think cracked head?

I'm thinking the pushrod wasn't properly seated when I reassembled. As for the cracked head, there is an oil or fuel residue in my coolant. I'm thinking its fuel as I replaced the oil cooler. And if it's fuel it has to be coming from the heads. My next steps I was thinking to do is drain my coolant and pull the injectors on my passenger side bank and pressure test the coolant system to look for leaks in the injector cups. Thoughts?

I would fix pushrod and flush cooling system and see what happens. There is a lot of mess pulling heads, and a little oil or fuel looks like a lot when mixed with coolant.
