6.0 l powerstroke problems

I have an 2005 F-350 6.0l powerstroke i just replaced the head gaskets and put in a new bulletproof egr cooler. its all back together but the truck wont start im only getting one code which is p2614 which i think just means the engine is turning alot without starting. ive primed the high pressure oil system. when i attempt to start the truck the oil pressure gauge in the dashbored goes to right where it should be in the middle between the h and l but it takes a sec, and the injectors still dont open. if i spray ether in the intake it will start till it burns off the ether then shut off. ive checked the icp and oil pressure regulator im not getting codes for those. the wiring to the oil pressure regulator is fine and i know the icp has to put out at least .8 volts to fire up the injector but i dont know which wires to check for that out of the three. with the engine off and power on the black with white strip wire has about 4.8 to 5 volts the other two wires blue with green strip around .23 and white with red strip .43 volts on the icp.
the fuel pump works great and i purged the fuel line at the point where they bolt to the heads.

so im thinking
1. there is still air bubbles in the high pressure oil system and im not hitting the right pressure
2. the injectors are some how all clogged
3. still air in the fuel lines

once again the only code im getting is p2614
so anyone have any other thoughts of something i should look at?

I would avoid the ether!

Did you miss an o ring or seal ? I know it takes a long time to get em going after new pump.

nope just got done checking the oil system took off the oil rails both sides and put it back together all the o rings where there and primed it still the injectors wont fire

Does your scan tool give you desired and actual pressures for ICP ?

GRS.KFO 11-23-2013 03:01 PM

no it dont
this was suppose to be low budget fix for me that being said do you know of any software or scan tool the can read desired and actual pressures for ICP under $500 other wise it will have to wait till after the holidays.

this moring i use a voltmeter on the icp when cranking the engine the green wire show 1.143 volts and the white wire showed .782 so im guessing theres a small oil leak somewhere?

im thinking of going to get a mechanical oil pressure test kit and test the pressure at the icp port well cranking i believe its suppose to be above 500 psi right?

im thinking its the High Pressure Oil Stand Pipe seeing thats the only thing i messed with when taking off the heads?

what do you think about the Updated High Pressure Oil Stand Pipe, Ford (2004-07) 6.0L Power Stroke SKU: 6E7Z9A332A ?

Guess we should have a good gauge anyway for these trucks. I'm considering a glowshift gauge for oil pressure to go in f650 dash I'm installing. They are in next town over so I can pick up there! Any updated parts are probably good investment as we learn what works.

Test pressure at port, if under 500 psi u probably won't start. Doesn't matter what reading on scan tool if you don't have oil pressure.
